Ach, no time to write!

Guess I might have been a little premature in setting this thing up. So much going on just now. About to board a train to London as we're recording strings for the Lamb album tomorrow.

Time to muse on the journey I guess...

So after quite some procrastination I've got around to starting a blog. 

For those who know me as Lou from the band "Lamb" or as Lou Rhodes the acoustic singer/songwriter this will be another strand. Lord knows who reads these things; I have no idea. I simply want to have an outlet as a writer of words apart from my songs.

For a long time now I've harboured the yearning to write something longer than a song. Dare I say it I want to write a novel? A short story at least...

It feels like if I can at least make that public and share my writings in some small way I might move through the huge block I have around the idea of actually achieving such a thing.

I'm sure it's common to many who set out upon such a venture. So many times I begin to write, I've got as far as two or three chapters, and then I seize up, and lose all faith in the strand I'm on.

It's perhaps not helped by the fact that I'm drawn almost exclusively to American fiction and yet hail from little England. Can one gain their inspiration from one continent and write from another? 

Enough for now. This is an introduction and I feel at least one bridge has been crossed...
